At best: Playful, curious, startling.
At worst: Detached, nihilistic (belief in nothing), sexist, despairing, homophobic, racist.
Modernists & Postmodernists
Modernists are critical and more destructive.
Postmodernists are playful and have a nostalgic attitude.
Postmodernists do not like big narratives (incredulity toward metanarrative) like religion, science, progress (sceptical of perfection of humans) and socialism.
Postmodernists are good at analysing western culture.
Postmodernists are good at pointing out problems but not at fixing them.
Traditional
At best: meaningful, engrossing, moving.
At worst: deceptive, sentimental.
